I initially became interested in acupuncture after witnessing the improvement in my husband’s health after a course of treatment. He has severe rheumatoid arthritis and the acupuncture helped with his pain, his sleep and his general well being – it seemed to “lift his spirits”.
Back pain and trapped nerves such as sciatica are often treated with acupuncture and many GPs and Physiotherapists are now undertaking short workshops to learn about the benefits.
I went on to gain my qualification as a Traditional Acupuncture Practitioner after successfully completing a three year, full time degree course at the College of Traditional Acupuncture, Leamington Spa in Warwickshire. I continue with my professional development through ongoing training; courses include Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, Therapeutic Massage and most recently a workshop with Zita West who is renowned for her fertility work.
Fertility treatment supported by traditional acupuncture appears to be the choice of many hopeful couples and success rates are encouraging.
Emotional, clinical depression and stress related disorders are really helped with regular acupuncture treatment and I see many patients with these conditions
Throughout my practice I have treated a wide variety of complaints and I firmly believe that traditional acupuncture can be of benefit to everyone.
